Welcome to Furnicare! By purchasing from our online store or registering as a shopper, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Before You Buy

  • Measure Carefully: Please ensure the furniture fits through doorways, hallways, staircases, and into your intended space before placing an order.

  • No Guarantees or Warranties: Due to the natural variations in our materials and individual product care, we do not offer formal guarantees or warranties. However, we are always here to provide advice and support if any issues arise.

2. Your Account & Privacy

  • Security: You are responsible for keeping your login username and password secret. Furnicare is not liable for any losses or damages caused by unauthorized access to your account.

  • Updates to Terms: We may change these terms at any time without notice. Checking this page periodically is recommended, as continuing to use our store means you accept any changes.

  • Unforeseen Events: Force majeure (events outside our control, like natural disasters or major disruptions) applies to all situations.

3. Products, Pricing & Availability

  • Prices: All prices are in South African Rands (ZAR), include VAT, and are only valid in South Africa. Prices and availability may change at any time.

  • Stock & Cancellations: If an item is out of stock, we will contact you. Furnicare reserves the right to cancel an online order if we cannot supply the item.

  • Online vs. Showroom: Sale prices on our website may differ from prices in our physical showrooms, and vice versa.

  • Lead Times: If an ordered item is out of stock, the standard delivery time is 6 to 8 weeks. We reserve the right to extend this timeframe but will contact you if we do.

  • Accuracy: We try our best to ensure all website information is correct, but we are not responsible for accidental errors or misstatements. You are responsible for ensuring your order details are correct before purchasing.

4. Natural Materials & Product Variations

Because we use natural materials, the following characteristics are normal and not considered defects:

  • Color Display: Product colors may look different depending on the screen or device you use to view our website.

  • Leather: We use natural full-grain leather. Scarring, tick bites, brand marks, scratches, and scuff marks are natural characteristics of the hide. Dye lots may also vary.

  • Wood: Natural wood may have cracks, color differences, and natural markings. External factors (like temperature and humidity) can cause solid wood to crack or warp.

  • Sunlight: Direct or indirect sunlight can fade or damage both wood and leather products.

  • Finishes & Maintenance: Our wood finishes cannot be guaranteed once sold, as we cannot control how the item is used or cleaned. Care advice provided by Furnicare consists of guidelines only; we are not responsible for any resulting discoloration or blotching.

5. Payments, Orders & Custom Furniture

  • Clearance Before Delivery: Full payment must reflect in our bank account before any items can be delivered or collected.

  • Time Limit: All orders must be paid in full within 3 months of placing your deposit.

  • Custom & Made-to-Order Furniture: We create custom items specifically for you, and production begins immediately upon receipt of your deposit. By placing a custom order, you acknowledge and accept that these pieces cannot be changed, cancelled, returned, or refunded. This policy applies to:

    • Furniture made to client specifications

    • Bespoke or personalized designs

    • Pieces altered to meet individual requirements

    • Please double-check all dimensions and specifications before ordering.
