Cleaning & Care Instructions

As part of our commitment to providing excellent products and service, we want to share some important care instructions to help you maintain the beauty and longevity of your purchases.

Furniture:

MDF Painted Furniture: Simply wipe down with a damp cloth. For tougher stains, use a bit of Handy Andy.

Monocoated Furniture: Wipe down with a damp cloth. For optimal results, use Furnicare or Rubio Monocoat surface cleaner, available on our website.

Mahogany Furniture: Polish weekly using a wax-free furniture aerosol spray.

Kiaat/Teak Furniture: Wipe with a damp cloth and apply Burmese Teak oil when the wood appears dry.

Oak Furniture: Wipe with a damp cloth and apply Pro-nature oil or Rubio Monocoat surface cleaner when the wood appears dry.

Rugs:

Outdoor Rugs: Shake or beat them outside to remove dust. Avoid vacuuming with certain attachments that may damage the threads. For washing, use a mild Sunlight solution and a sponge. Hose down to rinse and dry flat. For stains, use a diluted 1:10 solution of Jik to water.

Cotton Flatweaves: Professional cleaning is recommended. If washing at home, do so horizontally in 30°C water with mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly, shape, and dry in an airy place without folding.

Fabric Upholstery:

Cleaning is advised based on the specifications of each fabric. Professional dry-cleaning is recommended.

Leather Upholstery:

To clean, mix warm water with Dales Glycerine leather soap or use full concentrate. Wipe exterior surfaces with a soft cloth dipped in the solution, then wipe off with a clean, damp cloth. Apply Dales Leather Oil, Hide Food, Dubbin, or Neatsfoot Oil to restore moisture, depending on the dryness of the leather.
